Firmness by sleeping position
Firmness is personal, but how you sleep is a good guide. Lie in your usual position and check that your spine feels straight, not sagging or arched.
- Side sleepers: medium to medium-soft, so your shoulder and hip sink in a little.
- Back sleepers: medium-firm, so your lower back is supported without feeling pushed up.
- Stomach sleepers: firm, so your hips don't sink below your shoulders.
- Couples who disagree: try pocket spring, which passes on less movement, or ask us about models with a firmer and a softer side.
- If you have a back condition, ask your doctor what they suggest before you choose. We can't promise a mattress will fix pain.
Buying a mattress in Vizag's humid weather
Vizag's air stays humid for most of the year, so a mattress needs to stay dry. Construction, a protector and simple airing all help.
- Airflow: spring cores, pincore latex and coir let more air through than dense solid foam. Ask about breathable covers too.
- Protector: use a waterproof but breathable protector from day one. Many brand warranties don't cover stains or liquid damage, so a protector keeps your warranty safe as well as keeping the mattress clean.
- Airing: every few weeks, take the sheets and protector off and let the mattress air for a few hours with the windows open and the fan on.
- Base: keep the mattress on a cot or slatted base, not straight on a damp floor.
- Care: follow the brand's care card. It tells you whether to rotate the mattress and what to avoid.
How to try a mattress in the showroom
Give each mattress five to ten minutes. A quick sit on the edge tells you very little.
- Lie in the position you actually sleep in, and turn over a few times.
- Bring the person you share the bed with, and anyone else who will sleep on it.
- Try at least one firmer and one softer option than you expect to like.
- Can't come in? We'll walk you through the mattresses on a WhatsApp video call.
How to read our budget bands
Our budget bands are worked out from each brand's MRP for a queen-size (72×60 in) mattress. They give you an honest idea of the range before you message us. Our showroom price is below MRP, and your exact, all-inclusive price depends on the size, thickness and whether you need EMI, so we send it on WhatsApp within 10 minutes during showroom hours.
Buy from an authorised dealer
Brands honour warranty claims when you have the invoice and warranty card from an authorised dealer. We're authorised for all 7 brands we sell, and you get a GST invoice and the brand's warranty card with every purchase.
Common questions
Should I buy a hard or soft mattress for back pain?
Many people with back discomfort prefer medium-firm to firm support, but very hard isn't always better. If you have a back condition, ask your doctor first, then try a few firmness levels in our showroom.
Spring or foam: which is better?
Neither is better for everyone. Spring feels bouncier and airier. Foam feels quieter and more even. Choose by feel and sleeping position rather than by material.
Which mattress suits Vizag's humidity?
Breathable constructions such as pocket spring, pincore latex and coir let more air through. Whatever you buy, a breathable waterproof protector and regular airing matter just as much.
Is a thicker mattress better?
Not always. Extra thickness usually means more comfort layers, not more support. The support core and how it feels when you lie on it matter more.
Why don't you show the exact price?
Your price depends on the size, thickness and whether you need EMI. We send your exact, all-inclusive price on WhatsApp within 10 minutes, Mon–Sat, 10 AM–8:30 PM. It is below the brand's MRP.
